Home Care Packages

Using your Home Care Package for transport

If you have a Home Care Package (HCP), transport is one of the most common services it can fund. We work with your provider to take care of the billing so you can focus on getting where you need to go.

Talk to your HCP provider

Ask your case manager to include transport in your care plan. We work with a range of Home Care Package providers across the region — just mention us by name.

Book your trip with us

Call 1300 916 400 or use the form below. Let us know it's funded through your HCP and your provider's name.

We bill your provider

No paperwork on your end. We invoice your HCP provider directly so the cost comes out of your package, not your pocket.

Can my Home Care Package pay for transport with Riverstone?
Yes — transport is commonly covered under Home Care Packages. The exact coverage depends on your individual care plan and provider. We work with a range of HCP providers across the region. If you're not sure, call us and we'll help you check with your case manager.
Do you take wheelchairs and walking frames?
Walking frames, rollators and folding wheelchairs travel with us as standard. When you book, please tell us what mobility aid you use so we can make sure the right vehicle is allocated and the driver knows what assistance you'll need.
Will the driver help me to and from the door?
Yes. Our service is door-through-door, not just curb-to-curb. We'll meet you at your door, help you into the car safely, and walk you back when we drop you home.
Can the driver wait during my appointment?
Absolutely. For medical appointments, pathology, or any visit where you'd rather not arrange a return trip separately, we offer a wait-and-return service. We'll be ready when you are.
How do I book?

How much notice do you need?
The more the better — booking ahead helps us match you with the right driver and vehicle. Same-day bookings are sometimes possible depending on availability, so it's always worth calling.

Please call us to discuss your specific situation — we can let you know how we can help and what documentation we'd need.
Do you go outside the listed service area?
Yes — we regularly travel to Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast and further afield for medical specialists, family events and airport/cruise transfers. The service area shown reflects our day-to-day coverage; longer trips are by arrangement.
